Possibilitties of physiotherapy in peripheral paresis of upper extremities
ŠANDA, Ondřej
The theme of this thesis is "Possibilities of physiotherapy in peripheral paresis of upper limbs" and its aim is to investigate the influence of physiotherapy on improvement of muscle strength and function of paretic upper limb by various methods. The theoretical part includes the field of anatomy, neurophysiology and pathophysiology related to the peripheral nerves of the upper limbs. Information on nerve cells, evaluation classifications, classification of polyneuropathies and mononeuropathies, brachial plexus, treatment options and foreign experience are available in individual subchapters. The practical part contains the methodology of qualitative research. The sample consists of 3 patients with peripheral upper limb paresis. The aim was to elaborate case reports of patients with this type of disease in detail and to propose a rehabilitation plan for these patients, which will include entry and exit examinations that will be compared after the rehabilitation. Each patient had a total of 8 therapies, over a maximum period of 6 weeks, aimed at improving muscle strength and overall function of the upper limbs in daily life activities. Based on the data obtained, it is clear that physiotherapy was beneficial for these patients. All patients experienced improvement in muscle strength and function of the upper limb and remission of paresthesias after treatment. This work can be used by professional public, physiotherapists, physiotherapy students, or even patients who will face this disease. It should also serve as information for obtaining basic orientation in the problems of peripheral paresis of upper limbs, its pathology and possible physiotherapeutic procedures.
Case study of the Physiotherapeutic Treatment of a Patient Diagnosed with Nervus Peroneus Paresis
Dostál, Martin ; Kučerová, Ilona (advisor) ; Křížková, Štěpánka (referee)
Title: Case study of the Physiotherapeutic Treatment of a Patient Diagnosed with Nervus Peroneus Paresis. Aims: Gaining theoretical and practical knowledge about peripheral paresis, especially peripheral paresis of the nervus peroneus nerve. Subsequent elaboration of case study of a patient with a continuous professional practice and determination of the results of theraphy. Methodology: In the general part, the work focuses on theoretical knowledge about the anatomy of the peripheral nervous system, the clinical image of peripheral paresis and physiotherapeutic methods in the treatment of peripheral paresis. The special part of the work focuses on the case study of a patient diagnosed with paresis of the peroneus nerve and use of physiotherapeuticmethods in practice. Results: The patient, who had zero to one muscular strenght of the paretic muscules, improved to muscule strenght nuber two according to Janda, after the end of the therapy. The joint clearance around the foot, ankle joint and lower leg was restored. Elimination of most reflex changes in soft tissues and stretching of shortened muscules. Conclusion: Thanks to the cooperation of the patient and practiced physiotherapeutic methods, it was possible to increase the muscular strenght of the lower leg muscules. Physiotherapy is an integral...
Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with posttraumatic paresis n. peroneus communis dx.
Havlíčková, Andrea ; Novotná, Irena (advisor) ; Kozáková, Alena (referee)
Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of patient with the posttraumatic paresis n. peroneus communis dx. Objectives: Gain of theoretical knowledge about peripheral paresis, especially peripheral paresis n. peroneus communis dx. Subsequent case study formulation of patient with selected diagnosis made during coherent scholarly practice. Methods: The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis contains theoretical knowledge about anatomy of peripheral nervous system of the lower extremities, the clinical image of the peripheral paresis ane the treatment with sequential therapy. Results: Increase of muscle strenght in weakened muscels, improvement of movement range, elimination of reflective changes and restoration of joint play. Conclusion: Indikation of physiotherapy is very important in the treatment of peripheral paresis. Keywords: peripheral paresis, n.peroneus, physiotherapy

Physical therapy of peripheral lesions in childhood
Hubáčková, Daniela ; Ocmanová, Renata (advisor) ; Demuthová, Zorka (referee)
The work describes the types of peripheral nerve lesions, their causes and therapy. It is concerned mainly with physical therapy but other means of rehabilitation and surgical therapy are mentioned too. In terms of physical therapy it describes electrotherapy, mechanotherapy, thermotherapy and hydrotherapy, phototherapy and balneotherapy. Separately it describes the therapy of Bell's palsy and postpartum paresis of brachial plexus. The mentioned polyneuropathies are polyradiculoneuritis and hereditary polyneuropathy. At the end it describes a casuistry of a patient with ulnar nerve paresis. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
